Salvador Duran will make a welcome return to the Formula E paddock next weekend, driving for Team Aguri.

Following Nathanael Berthon’s departure, Duran will compete for the team in the remaining rounds of the 2015/16 season.

Duran previously raced for the team in nine rounds of the 2014/15 season and scored 13 points.

I am very excited to have re-signed for Team Aguri. This is a very ambitious team with some of the best engineering and technical knowledge in Formula E, and I look forward to being part of an already successful season.

“I’m particularly looking forward to my home race in Mexico in March. The atmosphere will be amazing and I can’t wait to put on a good show for all my compatriots.” – Salvador Duran.

For the 2015/16 season, Duran was initially announced as part of the Trulli driver line-up, however a customs issue in Beijing and a reported contract dispute in Putrajaya prevented him from competing in the opening rounds before the Trulli team departed the series.

The 2015/16 Formula E season continues in Buenos Aires on Saturday 6th February
