LONG BEACH, USA. Renault e.Dams driver has apologised to Robin Frijns after an early incident resulted in damaged that ruined both of their races.

Speaking after the race, Buemi said, “Not feeling good to be honest. Sorry to Robin with what happened. I struggled a little bit the start of the race but once my tyres were up to temperature, I started to be very quick so I was able to pass Daniel. I think I would have passed Robin

“I should have waited a little bit more, I went into it a little bit too early, it’s my fault. Now we will analyse everything and and hopefully go back in Paris and do well.”

Looking ahead to the team’s home grand prix, Buemi is optimistic of their chances.

“I’m really looking forward to it and hopefully we will be there in good shape and ready to score good points.”
